Cincinnati Bengals Offseason Preview

pThe Cincinnati Bengals are up next for their offseason preview. They finish the season with a record of 4-13, giving them the 3rd pick in the draft. The Bengals came in with a very talented roster, but did not live up to the hype, especially on offense. Franchise QB Joe Burrow finished with 251 yards per game, with 29 passing touchdowns and 42 interceptions, which will turn him to a star development player this offseason. The ground game was very poor, with their leading rusher Zack Moss only averaging 3.9 yards per carry. Jamarr Chase had a good season at WR and Mike Gesicki had over 1000 yards at TE, but Tee Higgins averaged just 33.9 yards per game. Trey Hendrickson had really the only notable season on defense with 22 tfl and 10.5 sacks.

Offseason Summary:
The Bengals will be returning a very talented roster for the 2025 season, as all of their key players are locked up long term. They have very few holes and high draft picks to fill them. Free agency will not be very eventful for Cincinnati, but that is what is expected with this type of roster. Adding a pass rusher opposite of Trey Hendrickson, a dynamic running back, and a 3rd receiving option should be at the top of the teams offseason priorities. There are many young players to develop at key positions that should be able to step up. Myles Murphy at DE, Dax Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, and DJ Turner at CB can all be big time players for this team in the future, but they will need to step it up next season for the Bengals to improve on their record. The reality with this Bengals team is they are in a place to compete, but they have to go on the field and prove it.
