Tennessee Titans Offseason Preview

pThe Tennessee Titans had an up and down season, landing them with a 6-11 record, and a roster than is aging. Most of the teams is on second or third contracts, which leaves them with a lot of work to do this offseason. Will Levis was an absolute gunslinger this season, throwing for nearly 6000 yards, 42 TD, and 55 INT. The running game was not stellar on offense, but was also clearly not part of their game plan very much as they only had 360 attempts compared to over 600 pass attempts. Tony Pollard is a good back, but was not a featured part of this offense. Calvin Ridley was the only 1000 yard receiver on the offense, but there was 9 players with at least 300 yards. The defense was also very poor, with no notable seasons to come away with.

Offseason Summary:
The Titans are a team in desperate need of a youth movement, with much of the roster nearing the age of 30. They only have 6 draft picks, so they could potentially look to trade down if they don’t have someone they love at #5. I think they would consider a QB, but the holes around the roster may prevent them from picking one in the first round. The team is able to move the ball, but the defense and turnovers are what caused them to finish with only 6 wins. Adding defensive pieces and upgrading the OL to establish the running game could be this teams main focus this offseason. The Titans play in a very winnable division, and with a good offseason I think we could see them in the playoffs next season.
