Jacksonville Jaguars Offseason Preview

pThe Jacksonville Jaguars are the third AFC South team to finish at 6-11. They made a win-now move midseason by trading their first round pick to Carolina for CB Jaycee Horn and a 2nd round pick. The Jaguars are going to be riding with QB Trevor Lawrence who finished the season with 31 TD passes and 42 interceptions. Brian Thomas had a breakout season as a rookie with 1252 yards and 11 TD, with Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis rounding out a big 3 at WR that nearly all finished with 1000 yards. The offensive line is not great, and the defense is middle of the pack.

Offseason Summary:
The Jaguars essentially traded down 33 spots from 8 to 41 in exchange for Jaycee Horn, which is a solid move. They have 6 picks in rounds 2-4 and will have to hit on those to improve this team. The cap situation is not great with the big contracts that they have given out so far. The offensive line needs a complete overhaul, but I don’t think that is something you do in the draft. Maybe they look to sign a few budget OL in free agency before taking 1-2 guys in the draft. Josh Hines-Allen could use some help on the DL with another DT and the development of Travon Walker. The offensive weapons are good along with solid off-ball LB play. Adding 1-2 DBs could put the finishing touches on an improved defense for 2025.p
