How is the team handling the bye week this week?
Resting key players and focusing on our next opponent
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
Being smart and balanced
How quickly can you tell if a young player is a football player if he thinks about it because it seems like at the Combine they’re all saying the right thing and it’s the job. How quickly does it take?
You can tell pretty fast if a guy loves football. We want these men to come in here fired up live and breath ball.
How valuable is the self-scouting process that you go through during the Bye Week? There's the physical piece, but also that component, as well.
Its always important to self reflect so you can grow as a team.
I want to ask you about the receiver position in general. How have you seen that position evolve in importance over the years and how does having a player like WR Ja'Marr Chase sort of factor into that perspective?
Gives you a chance to win games on Sundays. He helps with mentoring the young guys. He takes them under his wings and really helps the offense as a whole.
Some would say your roster is one of the better teams in the league. Would you agree with that? Do you see any weaknesses in your team as you self-scout?
Definitely have key pieces to make big strides this year. We are weak in some spots. Looking forwarding to addressing these needs in Free Agency and 2025 Draft.
