Did you scout BYE before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
Heading into the draft, I knew I wanted to move pick 9. The only players I wanted at 9 were Cam Ward and Harold Perkins. So, I had deals in place to move back during the draft. Quinn Ewers out of Texas was not scouted until the late stages of the process after his team won the national championship. We kind of got lucky that he fell so far in the draft.
How do you see the competition level in the NFC West currently?
The NFC West is one of the more competitive divisions in the league, the teams are balanced roster wise aside from the 49ers. This should be an exciting season 2!
Can you speak to the overall team health?
After two games this pre-season, we have two injuries. One is an injury that will have our starting center sidelines for the first four games. Overall though, the team is healthy.
