Transcript: Colts Head Coach Press Conference

Some would say your roster is one of the better teams in the league. Would you agree with that? Do you see any weaknesses in your team as you self-scout?

Yeah there's talent all around the league but I'm only in one locker room so I can't speak on how we compare to others. I just know that this team has immense talent and I have full confidence in the players and the staff to put an excellent game plan together and go out there and execute it. And like all teams, we have our strengths and weaknesses, but you guys know I'm not going to go into detail about that. (laughs)

Your team is one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of average age. How do you feel about the future of this team while not having as many young players as other teams? Do you think having an older team has its benefits?

Young, old, we take em all. We want volunteers, not hostages. Look, sometimes your locker room needs guys that have been in the league a while to show the younger guys the ropes and to help enforce a standard that you create. We're happy with the roster. Youth is no guarantee of innovation and age is no guarantee of wisdom, so we don't get caught up in the average age data and all that c***. Just do your job.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

I think Latu is the only guy on the injury report at the moment, so we're fortunate there. But look, injuries are part of the game. They're unavoidable. So that's why we emphasize guys taking care of their bodies and doing the day to day things to keep themselves in the best shape possible.
