Transcript: Bills Head Coach Press Conference

What is the status of Orande Gadsden II and when is he set to return?

Unfortunately Orande hurt himself during the preseason and is set to return around week 4. This is a major blow to the team and we were looking for him to take an even bigger leap than he did in season 1 but we'll just have to carry on without him until then. I mean that's what PML is right no one is ever going to have a complete healthy team and that's why we brought in Travis Kelce and kept Dawson Knox for valuable depth. These guys can be starters on other teams and that's a testament to show how good Orande really is.

How valuable is the self-scouting process that you go through during the Bye Week? There's the physical piece, but also that component, as well.

It's super valuable man. We were going through a rough patch last season and a lot of people thought we weren't even going to come close to sniffing the playoffs but fortunately that bye week came and we were able to sit down and evaluate everything that was going wrong earlier in the season and were able to correct it. Good teams in PML use every week to their advantage and thats what we do in Buffalo when that time off comes.

How do you see the competition level in the AFC East currently?

It's a tough division man there is so much talent in players and head coaches in this division. I mean every season is a dog fight and there truly is no easy win when it comes to division games. I got mad respect for the three other head coaches in this division and I am definitely looking forward to the chess matches that awaiting us this season.
