Thank you to the Tank Committee

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to personally thank the committee for vetoing my proposed trade of Jack Sawyer for Justin Fields. After reflecting on it last night, I realized just how bad of a move it would have been, and I’m grateful you all stepped in to save me from making a huge mistake.

To be completely transparent, I had already decided to back out of the trade last night before the committee’s veto, but your decision ensured that I didn’t go through with it. You not only saved me 20 points but also prevented me from making a move that would have set the team back in ways I didn’t fully consider at the time.

I played with Justin Fields last night, and let me tell you, his throwing is atrocious. I really don’t know what I was thinking. Trading away Jack, who leads my team in sacks playing RDL and who’s on a rookie contract, for a QB who’s going to demand $25 million when we’ve only got $40 million in cap space was beyond foolish. I don’t know what got into me when I first proposed it, but I now see how much of a disaster it would have been.

Thank you for saving me from myself and ensuring we keep our future intact. Your decision was spot on, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of the foresight you showed.

With gratitude,
Coach God
