Season 1 of the PML 2021 cycle has been a pretty wild one thus far, with some coaches bursting on to the scene and some actually leaving the scene. The league is in a great state and the competition is an all-time high with the addition of some well-known users in the madden community. Every matchup matters as the Afc and Nfc wildcard races are tighter than ever as we approach week 16 where there is a ton of matchups with playoff implications. Below I will list the current playoff standings and the give my predictions on how the last 3 weeks will play out.
AFC Playoff Picture

Playoff Predictions
AFC Seeding:
- 1. Indianapolis Colts 16-1- The Colts have dominated from start to finish this cycle and will cruise into that 1 seed. Resting some starters will result in him dropping a week 18 vs Jacksonville which is a must win to get in the dance.
2. Denver Broncos 13-4 – The Broncos have came in PML and pretty much had there way after starting 0-2. With the 3 games vs Division opponents left they’ll handle business locking up the 2 and also knocking a few division foes out the wildcard race
3. Buffalo Bills 12-5 – I have the Bills locking up the 3 seed even though I have them losing to the pats which will have them and the Dolphins sitting at 10-5 come week 17. The Bills finish with the Jets and Falcons, while the Fins have Wimmy and problem to close things out. At the 3 seed Bubba will be a tough out for anybody that has to roll through Orchard Park
4. Baltimore Ravens 10-7 – After joining at 0-4 the ravens have gone 8-2 with those losses coming vs the #1 and 2 coach in all of PML. Impressive run so far as they can clinch a division title with a week 16 victory vs the Bengals. I have them losing to the Rams in week 17 but handling business this week will all but lock up the #4 seed
5.Tennessee Titans 12-5 – The week 17 matchup of 10-5 Tennessee vs Miami 10-5 will all but decide the 5 seed. I think Wimmy wants that 5 seed over having to play Buffalo or Denver in wc weekend, so he’ll be locked in knocking off Fallen and Cook to finish the season.
6. Jacksonville Jaguars 11-6 – Yes this might be biased I actually believe the jags will win out and lock in a playoff spot. Problem and Mole are crazy matchups to end the year but with Problem being out of the race I could see him not bringing his A game and I like my chances catching mole in week 18 game with limited starters in.
7. Kansas City Chiefs 10-7 – Putting the Chiefs in over the Chargers was tough but that remaining schedule says it all. Kansas City has the Steelers, Bengals and Broncos left while z has 2 division games left and cook who still has an outside shot. I think there’s no way Greeny is on the outside looking in unless he completely collapses which I am ok with.
NFC Seeding:
- 1. Green Bay Packers 15-2 – With the Nfc and his division all but locked up Jefe will rest his starters the last weeks of the regular season after a dominant 1st season of the cycle. There’s nothing to play for so no reason to play key guys and that’s why I have him dropping a 2nd game to the Lions who are sitting at the 5 seed 2 games behind. The Road to the Super Bowl goes through Titletown unless we have a complete meltdown
2. Los Angeles Rams 12-5 – I have que coming in at the 2 seed finishing the season 3-0 with tough games with guys fighting for their playoff lives. I think the Rams go for the 2 seed because nobody wants to play that 2nd place Nfc East team as either of the 2 can beat anybody in this conference. You can pretty much pencil in the rams at the #1-3 seed for this year and the ones that follow.
3. Dallas Cowboys 12-5 – CEO has had a solid season 1 running it back with his favorite team. This week 16 matchup with Mike decides it all as I have them splitting and ceo taking that 1 game lead with only the Giants/Eagles left which means they’ll finish 3-0 one game ahead of Mike. CEO is a guy that could be out as early as Wildcard weekend but we could also see him in the title game if he’s on his A game.
4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10-7 – Mali and the Bucs pretty much have the Nfc South locked up with the Saints loss last night. Season 1 has treated the Bucs well and with the confidence they have I can see a potential upset.. I said POTENTIAL. With the Jets and Panthers left it’s no way they squander this Nfc South title.
5. Detroit Lions 14-3 Hypemike has been locked in at the 5 seed since mid season if we’re being honest. Since that 0-2 start my guy is 12-1 which is pretty d*** impressive and that’s one of the reason he’s my Nfc Darkhorse. If expect Mike to bounce back from last seasons playoff woes and make a deep run
6. Washington Football Team 11-6 – I have Mike locked in at the 6 seed in my final seeding, the matchup vs CEO will be for the Division and I have Ceo prevailing as they’ll split the season series. Mike will win his remaining 2 games but that won’t be enough for a division title which is fine. Like I said before nobody wants to see that 2nd place Nfc East team at any point in the playoffs as I feel an upset brewing.
7. Chicago Bears 10-7 – I have my guy Noble and the Bears locking up the 7 here in the Nfc. I’m happy to see Noble shake back from a rough final 3 seasons of last cycle. After starting 3-2 dropping 4 of 6, Noble has found his grove winning 3 straight to put him right back in the mix. I can feel Noble getting swagger back and for that reason I have him winning out vs the Hawks, Giants and Vikings to finish 10-7 eliminating any dreams the Vikings had of making the dance.
