There are six games left before advance Wednesday night, so let’s unpack the matchups, the likely outcomes, and implications of each remaining contest.
Minnesota Vikings @ Seattle Seahawks 1:30 PM EST
This is a very important matchup in the NFC conference. The Seahawks have slid down the ladder and now sit on the brink of playoffs in a tie between the seven and eight seed. On the other side, the Vikings are on an absolute heater and now lead the NFC North. If Seattle loses, the path to the post season becomes even harder, if the Vikings win, they officially control their own destiny down the stretch for the division crown. I say Minnesota wins and pretty decisively.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Dallas Cowboys 8 PM EST
Patrick Mahomes will officially be normal dev in the 2026-2027 PML season after breaking thirty interceptions and fast. Dallas is tied with Seattle right on the edge in the NFC and needs to take advantage of this easy matchup. The Cowboys will most likely execute and can take a firm spot in the playoff picture.
New Orleans Saints @ Miami Dolphins 8:30 PM EST
I’m not so sure this game will actually get played, I’m lowkey click baiting. Either way, it’s a pretty meaningless game between two teams with no shot at a wild-card berth. I’m rooting for the Saints for literally no reason.
Denver Broncos @ Washington Commanders TBD
A potential game of the week, these two teams are both easily top ten in PML at the moment. Denver is one of the best pass offenses in the game, but Washington is one of just two defenses allowing less than thirty points per game in this lightning-paced league. So what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? History in both PML and the real world say that the defense, the Commanders, win, but this isn’t that kind of Madden and the Commanders are going to be more conservative with Jayden’s interceptions. I think the Broncos are the favorites, even on the road. Regardless of the outcome, both of these teams will make the playoffs, although it may get stressful for the Broncos if they lose.
Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions NO INFO
Neffy poo let’s schedule our games in the thread, ok bud? Cruz wasn’t able to play against the CPU last week, but I don’t really blame him but as his next opponent I hope he plays this game for me to watch. Neither of these teams is going to make a push for the playoffs, I’d be shocked if they win out and prove me wrong. I’m thoroughly underwhelmed by Nef’s offense so I’ll take a rusty Green Bay Packers over a shaky Detroit Lions at the bottom of the NFC North.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Baltimore Ravens NO INFO
I just get into shootouts with everybody, but I was kind of hoping the Bengals would be legit after our close game, but it hasn’t looked that way. I think Cincinnati is doomed in this one, too, as Baltimore is right in the mix with the other two AFC North teams for the home playoff game. The Ravens should win and move closer to securing a postseason matchup, whether it’s home or away.
