It’s not often you see a corner, receiver, returner, and running back all in the same body, but that’s what Travis Hunter brings to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
At practice this week, Hunter surprised everyone when he lined up in the backfield taking reps at running back. Coach Ke wasn’t letting up either, staying right on him the whole time, making sure every step, every read, and every finish was perfect.
“I don’t care what position you play, the standard don’t change,” Coach Ke told reporters after practice. “You want to be great, you gotta master everything that comes your way. Travis got that kind of heart.”
Hunter’s versatility has been a weapon all season. He’s locking down receivers on defense, turning into a highlight reel on offense, and flipping field position on special teams. Now he’s taking on another role in the backfield.
It’s a move that shows how much trust and belief Coach Ke has in his superstar. Hunter’s been described as the heartbeat of the team, and the staff believes the more he touches the ball, the more dangerous this offense becomes.
In true Coach Ke fashion, there’s no celebration until the work is done.
“He’s special,” Ke said. “But even special gotta be sharpened.”
Travis Hunter just smiled and went right back to work, ready to add another title to his resume.
Corner. Receiver. Returner. Now running back.
Same goal every snap. Perfection.
