Giants Rookie Class: 2.6 RG Walker Parks

2.6: RG Walker Parks, 80 OVR

Development Chance: Low, projected 3-4 DDT points

With the sixth pick in the second round, the Giants selected right guard Walker Parks from Clemson. Parks was the highest player that the Giants had on their board at the time of this pick. This worked very well as the offensive line was a position of need, even with the free agents that were signed earlier in the time. The Giants came into this draft with a need of drafting at least two lineman and got one of the best in the draft. Parks was rated as ninth in true talent.

He comes out of the gate as a great linemen as an 80 OVR and is the second best lineman on the team. He has 92 strength, 87 impact block, and everything else rated 78 or above. The fact with just 10 attribute points that he can be an 80 overall in all blocking statistics is amazing. There is a chance that his position is moved by the start of the season, but we will have to check back in on that.

It would be great if he could get a good development trait, but with his projected points being low, star dev is the hope at this point.
