6.27 QB Behren Morton, 62 OVR
Development Chance: MID projected 5 DDT points
The Giants wanted Salter in an earlier round but he was taken, this resulted in the Giants taking quarterback Morton with the twenty seventh pick in the 6th round. Morton actually was a player who won an award and was an all american. He was picked due to the fact that he was the best quarterback at this spot, also because he has a decent chance to get a developmental trait. He isn’t fast as he comes out with 79 speed, but he does have 91 throw power and decent accuracy. All of his accurices except for throwing on the run are in the 70s.
He definitely won’t be used as a start but if he could even get a star development trait then he would be someone who could be potentially built to take over for Dart if he suffers a sophomore slump. Dart has the tools to run the offense but if he fails Morton has said he wont mind throwing to a 98 and 96 speed receiver.
The hope is that Morton gets a star developmental trait but if he gets anything higher, it might be time to focus, train or potentially star him so he could earn a lot of XP.
