The Premier Madden League has officially released the full list of coaches for the start of the first season. Before we get into the NFC coaches, a shout out is needed for all the coaches who will start on the coaching carousel. Some PML veterans got left on the sidelines in order to bring in some newcomers. For those coaches who didn’t make the cut, keep the content up and you may be the first one in if someone doesn’t want to play man or gets 27 votes to be kicked. The NFC is stacked with a lot of talented users in each division. Without further ado, this will be a few thoughts on each coach and their new team with their old team listed as well.
NFC East
Cowboys: Jefe (Packers) – The Cowboys are one of the best Madden teams in the league and they go to a user who started with Aaron Rodgers last madden. This is another plug in and play team and Jefe has shown what he can do with teams like this. He will be a favorite for the division.
Giants: Cook (Texans) – Another rebuilding team for Cook, however, the caveat is that this is his favorite team. The Giants roster leaves a lot to be desired, however, they have a lot of young valuable players. As long as Cook can develop this team like his Texans team he will be in good shape to compete.
Commanders: Wimmy (Titans) – Wimmy starts off with one of the best young defenses in the game. In a game all about pressure, he will be able to get pressure just by sending four guys. He did very well with Henry, so we might very well see Gibson with abilities before season 1 is up.
Eagles: Wumbo (Patriots/Vikings) – “ I just wanna play man, I just wanna play.” This was Wumbo’s catch phrase after he was respawned into an easier division last madden. He wasn’t able to get up with his original division which caused him to get his own catch phrase. This division is harder than the last so it might not be long before we get his madden 23 catch phrase.
Nfc West
Rams: DK (Chiefs) – From one 99 overall player to two others. The Rams team is a unique one, with dominant players in multiple poisons, however, their age leaves a lot to be desired. DK did very well with Mahomes, however, will he be able to translate that same skill over in the NFC with Stafford. My prediction is yes.
Cardinals: DLloyd (Raiders) – Kyler Murray is the star of this show. DLloyd did well with Watson last madden, so I can see him taking it to the next level with Murray. Murray’s ability to run will always keep the defense on their toes, so with this he should be able to surprise some people in the stacked NFC.
Seahawks: Zstar (Chargers) – He asked for this team and was granted a shell of the team they were last season. Gone is Willson, replaced by Geno Smith. Seattle looks to be a full rebuild, however, it has been heard that Zstar will not take this approach with them. It will be interesting to see what he does for his quarterback as Smith isn’t a solution even for season 1.
49ers: Ant (49ers) : Ant is playing it back with the same team and hopes to have better luck than he did last madden. This division got better, however, he has the best team starting out. He looks to be the odd man out, however, with this defense maybe he can surprise some.
NFC North
Lions: Kmac (Broncos) – This division is arguably the best in the NFC and it will take his entire playbook to compete with the superstars that the other NFC North teams have. Pre-existing injuries are hurting this team even more, however, Kmac has proven he can win the Superbowl with a 60 overall quarterback so this shouldn’t be any kind of setback for him.
Packers: Kingmike (Commanders) – Giving Aaron Rodger to a Superbowl champion is usually not something that is done lightly. Rodgers’ time in the league as a superstar will be short lived, however, I can see him winning another Superbowl before he regresses into nothing.
Vikings: CEO (Cowboys) – From Elliot to Cook, one SSXF running back to another. CEO’s game was running the football and didn’t care about wasting a lot of time in order to score. He gets the perfect team to continue this game plan and more as he now has two ss wide receivers who the defense has to account for. He also receives a defense that is full of some of the best abilities in the game.
Bears: SPdot (Jets) – Is this team punishment for the tanking accusations of his first season? He is in a division full of high level players who are used to consistent winning. Two of these three teams are chalk full of superstar players. He will have his work cut out for him to get back to the top of the conference.
NFC South:
Buccaneers: Codes (Colts) – This was one of the most controversial teams given out. Codes has said he is a top 10 player in the league, and was ranked in the top half of the league, but was given possibly the best team in the game. He’s the favorite in the division starting out of the gate, but the question will be who is his quarterback after Brady is gone.
Saints: Burn (Giants) – From one cap h*** into another. The Giants had one of the worst cap situations last madden and the Saints have the worst in this madden. I was able to rebuild that Giants team, due to their youth, however, this Saints team is the complete opposite. Old players, plus a negative cap situation will make this an interesting rebuild, however, the team is set to compete in season one before they regress into oblivion. Look out for me to trade a big name in the first season.
Panthers: JT (Panthers) – Everyone knew that JT would stick with the Panthers, however, he chose to build this division with competitive teams. Season 5 JT always comes to play, however, if he can finish all of his administrative duties early in the cycle I can see him competing a lot sooner than season 5.
Falcons: Papagreeny (Chiefs/Patriots) – He wanted a rebuild and he got one. The Falcons need a lot of work and with pre existing injuries he will lose out on his best wide receiver for the year. The good news for Greeny is the division has similar ranked users so he should be able to compete with the rest of them.
Every NFC division has users who have been to the playoffs last madden. It is a stacked conference across the board. Some of these guys aren’t used to losing , and with only 7 playoff spots, someone will have to lose. We will see if everyone has what it takes to stay in the league even if they have a losing season. As always, if anyone on the carousel feels like they should have gotten a team over any of these users, please say it in the chat.
