Raiders week 2
Trevon Moehrig was a no show for week 2 game against titans. He came off the field after last weeks game with his jersey clean and then was found in the streets of Las Vegas asleep after the game.
Raiders head coach matigy is very disappointed in his unexcused absence, especially after a week where the defense couldn’t stop a peewee football team if they tried. But without our all pro saftey the defense showed up.
UDFA Jaylon Jones made his NFL debut and got a pick 6. Redwine who was an FA pickup also made some plays and chidobe had a pick and FF after having a gamechanging pick last week. But the best group that truly won the game against the titans was the Dline unit which is something we never could’ve said last szn. They bottled up rookie sensation Bijan besides one 30 yard run, but a goaline stop was the play of the game. I’m very proud of these boys for stepping up while we have 2 starters out.
Rookie SS moten will look to make his debut soon and coach matigy feels like he’s a playmaker and would’ve been in droy conversation if it weren’t for him being hurt to start the year. Awuzie is looking like he’s taking Trevon Moehrig’s spot of being the turnover machine on this defense but we are hoping Moe can find his own niche in this defense to have a similar year he had last szn which he carried this defense.
The offense after a perfect week 1 where they were able to put up points on every drive started week 2 off the same but then some mistakes mid game caused the raiders to keep it close against the titans. But overall the defense gave them short fields and scored 7. So the offense really just had to play it safe and feed jacobs.
