Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Raiders last week?
We took ourselves out of the game very early against the Raiders. KJ Jefferson took the brunt of the blame citing that he was staring down his targets and missed the open guy on a few critical plays. We passed the ball way too many times and once Breece Hall was benched for fumbling in his fourth consecutive game and 9th time in 12 games, the run game went out the window. We need to be more balanced coming out of the bye week.
How is the team handling the bye week this week?
We decided on a trip to boost team morale this week. We’re on a huge losing streak and the team is really trying to hold it together. Parting ways with Zach Wilson has some players on the offense in their feelings but KJ Jefferson bought all of his linemen watches and flat screens for Christmas in hopes to gain their trust and to promote leadership.
Can you describe kind of the energy or the mood and the vibe in the building now coming in the home stretch?
Despite the record of the team, morale is still at an all time high. Everyone from the top to bottom of the roster want to see the team win and succeed. We are going to keep fighting until our last game of the season and we expect to win our games coming down the stretch.
