What does it mean to you or the team to have such a great winning record at home this season?
The play style we have happens to feed us momentum. And giving the pass rush a boost is all we need for this team. The home crowd loves Josh jacobs fight so it’s definitely a hard place to play.
What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
This might’ve been our first reg szn game against each other but obviously the talk about CEO is that he scouts, so had to come into the game acting like we’ve played before. And we were able to keep him guessing. Defensively you want the ball in Zach Wilson’s hands and overall this defense is making things very tough on teams and creating points as we now have 11 defensive TDs on the szn.
I want to ask you about the receiver position in general. How have you seen that position evolve in importance over the years and how does having a player like WR Davante Adams sort of factor into that perspective?
Recently in the NFL we have seen the importance of a #1 WR and the effect they have on offenses. But with the raiders who have one of the worst oline units and a solid vet at QB. There’s just no reason for us to feed davante. And ultimately it keeps him fresh for those moments when we need him.
What are your thoughts about the Vikings just in general as a team?
The Vikings are a well coached team who is entrusting the team in a mid QB. Dalvin cook should be the focal point but he’s not and that’s why we were able to smack them. It will be interesting to see if he switches do a run heavy attack in the playoffs.
