How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?
It puts our backs against the wall, we have to put it all out there.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Cowboys last week?
Sometimes you are just out-manned. I will say it was not fun.
Can you talk about the development of Quentin Johnston so far?
We need him to be more consistent. If he becomes a reliable threat that other team have to respect it will help our offense immensely.
Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Budda Baker?
You have to warn your ballcarriers to hold on tight so they don't fumble.
How has Ryan Tannehill’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
He has been able to mentor us and keep us focused on keeping the ball in our hands.
What is the status of Robert Quinn and when is he set to return?
He should be back next week against the Bucs.
Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?
So much of it is focus but you also have to make the sacrifice of sometimes not getting those extra yards that could help later.
What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?
Inability to run on crucial downs and the inability for someone on defense to make a play when it is needed.
How quickly can you tell if a young player is a football player if he thinks about it because it seems like at the Combine they’re all saying the right thing and it’s the job. How quickly does it take?
Can you repeat that? I don't understand.
How much of a problem is Zach Harrison on the defensive line?
He was consistently forcing pressure as well as shutting down most runs to his side. Hudson needs to play better.
I want to ask you about the receiver position in general. How have you seen that position evolve in importance over the years and how does having a player like WR Quentin Johnston sort of factor into that perspective?
It has grown in importance as the League has become more pass heavy. We will be continuing to look for improvement from that position.
Did you scout Zach Harrison before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?
We knew he was a high level athlete from a great program, but we did not expect him to fall to us.
How do you see the competition level in the NFC North currently?
Extremely tight, but we are fall out of it and need to respond quickly.
Can you describe kind of the energy or the mood and the vibe in the building now coming in the home stretch?
Do or die, we don't want to be watching from home like last year.
When the schedules were released this past offseason, analysts said you had one of the easier schedules they've seen. Do you see it that way as well?
There are no easy games in this league.
Your team is one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of average age. How do you feel about the future of this team while not having as many young players as other teams? Do you think having an older team has its benefits?
We intend to keep our team strong and play whoever gives us a chance to win.
Can you speak to the overall team health?
We are starting to not look like a team of backups in the trenches.
What are your thoughts about the Cardinals just in general as a team?
Their team fits their coach.
