What does it mean to you or the team to have such a great winning record at home this season?
It means a ton to this team doing what we need to do at home. The fans filling the seats and giving us that energy pushes us to go after those games. But even more so with the AFC playoff race being so close between a lot of teams, you need any advantage you can get playing the best of the best .
What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
We just wanted to turn the Broncos into a passing team and that’s exactly what happened. The Broncos were already trending downward and decided to try a new playbook and scheme. This may have not been the right game for that, as we looked dominate on both sides of the ball. We played within our own identity, and it got us a big win over the Broncos. I’m sure we’ll see them in the playoff hunt next season.
What is the status of Mike Gesicki and when is he set to return?
Mike Gesicki will be turning next week against the Jets. Unfortunately, Rashawn Slater gets injured for 4 games, so we’ll be starting a backup on the oline the remainder of the season.
