Bills won’t be a playoff team
Overreaction or Reality: Overreaction
Buffalo Bills have dropped 2 straight after smacking the Titans week 1. The franchise savior Josh Allen will also be taking a personal day against the 3-0 LA Rams, so things are looking a little bleak over there in Buffalo. Week 4 they will see the Jets again who they just lost to week 2 in a close one. Huge game that could determine a lot in that division with the Jets being 3-1 with a W. But the Bills still have the pieces for a playoff run and they should win most of their games after week 11 to make a late run to secure their spot.

Chiefs won’t win 5 games
Overreaction or Reality: Reality
The team we saw drop 60 week 1 was a fluke. The Cleveland Browns already got the torch passed to them as the worst team in the league after losing to the Steelers week 2. And to top it off this Chiefs team got 64 dropped on their head the next week, overall I don’t think this coaching staff really understands the importance of each possession. And he’s gonna lose games he shouldn’t and lose games he should. And it’s a shame for this young chiefs team that has the generational QB of our time. They have lost to HDs chargers and have the panthers& Steelers up next so their peak could be soon or it’ll get real bad.

Detroit Lions dropped the ball on the Dak Prescott trade
Overreaction or Reality: Reality
The Detroit Lions went out and did a major QB overhaul acquiring Dak Prescott from the Dallas Cowboys after a failed season with Baker Mayfield. Curt sent a 1st and 2nd round pick for the superstar quarterback who carries a hefty price tag of 34 million dollars a season- for the rest of the cycle. Unbeknownst to the Lions GM, the market price for the quarterback was actually a 3rd round pick. Both the Steelers and Texans were in the final stages of negotiations for Prescott, but ultimately turned down the deal centered around an early 3rd round pick leaving the Cowboys scrambling to find a new trade partner. Sources say both teams stepped away due to several factors including the mega salary and subpar abilities. A day after the Texans and Steelers removed themselves from Prescott negotiations, but Lions entered the sweepstakes and sent a 1st and 2nd round pick. Fine, they overpaid for what was supposed to be the final piece in an attempt to compete in a competitive NFC North division. Fast forward to week 3, Prescott has underwhelmed with a 6TD and 15INT stat line while the Lions sit at 0-3. Paying Prescott 34 million per season for the rest of the cycle surely hinders their ability to become players in the free agent and trade market as well for the next two seasons. There is even a very realistic possibility Prescott loses his abilities going into season 4. All in all, not the wisest managerial move from the Detroit Lions.

CEO and the Vikings are a sinking ship
Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction
The PML Prediction Show over the past 2 weeks has been very critical towards one, if not our most consistent members of PML, who no matter the competition, finds himself in the playoffs season after season. The man has played in the toughest divisions, and without excuse, has grinded it out and straight up competes. I’ve listened to Que and Drama openly say CEO is finished this season while sitting at 0-2. Many others have written him off as well this cycle and he is no longer mentioned with the top tier users of our league. While many are calling for a quarterback change, the fact is, Zach Wilson has been a very efficient game manager for the Vikings offense while protecting the ball and limiting turnovers. He rocks a 126.4 QB rating and has a 6/2 TD/INT ratio. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a hot take by any means so you can read this with confidence. You could lock the Vikings into one of the playoff seeds come wildcard weekend, mark my words. We’ll circle back to this later in the season. Do not write this man off. Haven’t we learned that already?

The Cowboys are playoff bound:
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The Cowboys narrowly missed out on the playoffs the first two seasons in a loaded NFC, the Cowboys are 2-1 on the season, all of their games coming in their division. The Cowboys went on a run towards the end of last season, once they returned from their absence they sent a warning shot for what could be coming this season. They appear locked in, and have playmakers in key spots, perhaps the most valuable positions in madden outside of QB. Ceedee Lamb is a true #1 wr, Diggs is an elite CB, Parsons may be the best defender in the league, the backfield is stout and the offensive line is top tier as well. Combine this with playing the AFC North and NFC south, the Cowboys have a nice path to the playoffs.

The AFC West is Wide Open
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The AFC west has had two different champions so far in our two seasons, but I think going in to this season the Raiders thought they had the division locked up for the foreseeable future, but the first 3 weeks of the season seem to have proven that wrong. The Broncos are 2-1, with two very dominant wins in the last two weeks. The Chargers are also 2-1 with 2 hard fought wins, but they also have an elite QB which is always a big swing in their direction. The Chiefs are 1-2, but are young and once the rookies get comfortable they could be a force as well, and don’t forget they have Patrick Mahomes at QB as well. The Raiders are definitely still in it despite being 1-2, but who knows if they are truly ready to handle that first place schedule or if they will bounce down to being a wild card team or out of the playoffs entirely. Time will tell if the Raiders coach and the rookie QB will be able to right the ship.

Is Green Bay in trouble with Hendon Hocker?
Overreaction or reality: Reality
Listen, when it comes to Green Bay they are always going to be a playoff contender and a tough team to beat when it comes to the regular season. But ever since Aaron Rodgers had his 4 days of isolation in the dark and decided that it was time to dip out on the Packers during free agency this team has looked off on offense. Some could say it’s the coordinator calling plays but the fact is that Hendon Hooker is not the guy to lead this Packers offense. That Packers defense is good enough to lead this team to a playoff berth heck even a playoff win but without a quarterback who’s able to hold his own on offense it is going to be a very tough challenge for this team to make the superbowl. The Quarterback who currently only has 4 touchdowns while throwing 14 interceptions is holding this team back from achieving this teams dream of capturing another superbowl. It is illegal to be a hooker in Green Bay so please somebody call the police this man needs to be LOCKED UP!

Are the Panthers doomed for another gloomy year?
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The Panthers were able to secure a win this year in record time against the season 1 and division rivals Buccaneers but that’s not enough to convince me to buy in on this team yet. Although they played the giants semi tough week 1, got the win week 2, they came out flat against a team who they had no right losing too in the Eagles. I’m not saying that the Panthers are going to hold reign of the #1 pick again, nor only have two wins. But I do believe that they will have another failure of the season where they will not be able to make the playoffs. This team is too unpredictable and will continue to lose games they should/shouldn’t and win games they had no right winning. The positive about this team is that they are showing that their offense and defense is finally getting together, it’s not fully there yet but you can tell that Carolina is building up a special scheme and working hard on it for the future years to come.
