Offensive Player of the Year: Quentin Skinner
The second Bengal on this list, he leads the league in catches, yards, and touchdowns. There isn’t a ton to say about this besides that he has been completely dominant. Jamarr Chase and Tee Higgins get the bulk of the defensive attention, Skinner is filling Tyler Boyd’s role and is simply just more athletic and dynamic than Tyler Boyd ever was.
Defensive Player of the Year: Julius Brents
The league leader in interceptions with 7, with several of them coming in clutch moments. Brents has 2 defensive touchdowns and is one of the key reasons for the Bears defensive turnaround this season. The 6’4″ DB has played all over the field in Chicago, playing slot and outside corner as well as some safety due to injuries. The other contender was Myles Garrett, but I chose Brents due to the Browns 0-5 record.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Quinn Ewers
This award came down to Ewers and Quinton Skinner, I gave the edge to Ewers due to Ewers playing quarterback and Quinton Skinner winning Offensive Player of the Year. Ewers had 15 touchdowns to 7 interceptions. Ewers came in to a roster that is loaded with talent and needed a quarterback to take advantage and that is what he has done. He still makes some rookie mistakes, but he has been a needed improvement at the most important position in football.
Defensive Rookie of the Year: James Williams
The first overall pick in the draft takes home the DROY. This is definitely the weakest contention, making it the hardest award to chose. Williams has 4 interceptions and a touchdown this season, as well as his presence in the middle of the field making it difficult for teams to pass, forcing them to look outside.
Coach of the Year: Z, Seattle Seahawks
My preseason coach of the year pick takes home the award, the only remaining undefeated team in the NFC he has defeated 4 quality opponents including 3 teams that made the playoffs each of the first two seasons. As the Rams roster takes a step back we could see a new champion coming out of the NFC West.
