New Green Bay OC – Coach Kingupel Presser Following Week 14 Win Over Bears

Laura Rutledge: Coach Kingupel, it seems like the offense really came to life in this game. Can you talk about your approach coming into the game against the Bears?

Josh Kingupel: Absolutely, Laura. Our plan was to take shots down the field and stretch the Bears’ defense. We felt like we had the weapons to do it, and it paid off with some big plays.

Kimberly Martin: Coach, Hendon Hooker had a great game today, but he did throw three interceptions. How do you balance his impressive stats with the turnovers?

Josh Kingupel: That’s a good question, Kimberly. Obviously, we don’t want Hendon to turn the ball over, but we also want him to be aggressive and take shots down the field. We’ll look at the film and see where the mistakes were made, and work with him to make the necessary adjustments.

Laura Rutledge: With the win over the Bears, you’re now only one game back and have the tiebreaker. How important is the playoff push for this team?

Josh Kingupel: It’s definitely important, Laura. We’re in a position where we pretty much need to win out to have a chance at the playoffs. But at the same time, we’re still focused on developing our offense and improving as a team. We’re not just worried about wins and losses, we want to see progress in all areas of our game.

Kimberly Martin: Coach, looking ahead to the next game against the Lions, what’s the game plan?

Josh Kingupel: Our focus is on continuing to improve our offense and be aggressive. We want to take advantage of our playmakers and make big plays down the field. At the same time, we need to be smart with the football and limit turnovers. We’re excited for the challenge of facing the Lions and continuing our push for the playoffs.
