Transcript: Colts Head Coach Press Conference

What does it mean to you or the team to have such a great winning record at home this season?

It's great to show out for the fans. They are part of the reason our record at home is what it is.

What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?

The defense! All props to the Texans, they stopped our offense a majority of the game and took advantage of mistakes but our defense consistently held it down.

Can you talk about the development of Brock Bowers so far?

He leads all tight ends in touchdowns and has been a reliable target. I'd love to see him get a little better at attacking the ball, his desire to make plays after the catch hs led to some drops and even some interceptions but overall he's been amazing.

The team now has back to back wins, what could you attribute the recent success too?

Once again, the defense shown up big time. We were allowing 30+ points a game and then held two division rivals to a combined 25. They'll have to do it one last time though.

Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Alvin Kamara?

He's a utility back, gotta prepare for him to be anywhere and everywhere on the field.

How has Fletcher Cox’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

He's mentored Ruke Orhorhoro into a guy we feel very happy to have gotten in the 3rd round and a guy we trust. He'll have to give us more than experience now that Kwity Paye has gone down though.

What is the status of Kwity Paye and when is he set to return?

He's out for week 18 and then some but hopefully we give him a chance to play again this year.

How do you see the competition level in the AFC South currently?

Best division in the league baby.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

We need better trainers or something because even though we haven't had a lot of injuries, the ones we've gotten have been more severe than we'd like. Kayshon Boutte was on his way to another 1k season before he was knocked out for 2 months, then Donovan Jackson was out a month which hurt our offensive line chemistry and ability to run and pass. Now Kwity Paye is out a month as we continue our playoff push.
