Analysis 1-7: Fallen
Analysis 8-14: Arod
Giants (16-1): The Giants are on a 14 game winning streak, one of the hottest teams in the league has only 3 superstar players on his team. It begs the question if Cookie can keep this streak going despite other playoff teams doubling his superstar players. The Giants have the second ranked defense in the league, but you bet they’ll be looking to avenge their lone loss in the regular season if they should match up against Seattle in the playoffs.
Bengals (15-2): Cammy is 4-0 against teams in the AFC playoffs this season, but all of those victories were by one score. This is the first time Cammy has experienced a bye in the playoffs, will he be ready in the second round of the playoffs? Joe Burrow has been clutch all season long down the stretch, look for Cammy to stare his competition down and sling the rock with Burrow in the playoffs.
Seahawks (14-3): Two of his three losses came at the hands of the Rams, you know Z will not let himself lose three times to his divisional rival should they match up again. Who is expected to play qb for the Buccaneers in the wildcard round, rumours are swirling that Tua may have come down with a cold, can Z capitalize on a handicapped Buccaneers offense?
Rams (14-3): 1s across the board for the Rams, as they lead the league in holding opponents to under three touchdowns a game, 300 total yards, and under 80 rushing yards a game. This wildcard matchup has been played out this season with the Rams winning 40-20, are we supposed to believe second year QB Hoocker can move the ball on the league’s best defense? Highly unlikely.
Colts (11-6): JC should be hosting a home game in the playoffs after going 5-1 in the division. Instead, they’ll travel to Vegas to take on a Raiders team that has struggled this season against playoff caliber teams. Kwity Paye is out for this game and he will be surely missed, but stopping the run will be crucial for the Colts to come out on top in this game. Josh Jacobs was top five in rushing this season and his a freight train of a runner when going North to South.
Jaguars (13-4): Defeating the Texans in week 18 was crucial for the Jaguars, they were able to find their momentum and didn’t have to reveal too much since they play the Texans again in the wildcard round. The Jaguars are 2-0 versus the Texans and when you watch their games, the Texans just aren’t prepared to go toe to toe for forty minutes with their division rivals, they crumble under pressure every time. The Jaguars are going to run down the throats of the Texans’ 26th ranked rushing defense.
Ravens (12-5): How much of a concern do we have that the Ravens lost 45-7 against Miami in week 18? None. The Ravens played with their backups while also calling plays that they don’t generally depend on. Kingke didn’t want to give Que any familiar looks since this game was meaningless and the real matchup starts in the wildcard round. Lamar Jackson is still out, but I don’t like this matchup for the Dolphins, the Ravens a press in your face defense and I expect some wobbly ducks to get thrown when Leary is facing down the pressure.
Bears (11-6): Is Jordan Love enough to carry them through the playoffs? Does it even matter with Brandon Thomas and his 26 total touchdowns? Why isn’t the man a XF by now? Nevertheless, a tough 1st round match-up vs the Commanders on deck for the Bears.
Raiders (11-6): Had a generous week 18 situation to send them to the playoffs. To be quite frank with you, I’m not sold that the Raiders will make much noise in the playoffs. Their first round match-up certainly doesn’t match their game tempo. Can they control the clock vs the Colts?
Texans (11-6): Time for Drama to put his money where his mouth is. Oh wait, he’s already done a little damage control and called HypeMike one of the 2 users who are ‘better than him’. Don’t blow all that smoke and start bowing out before the game is even played. Keep that fire Drama and make some noise!
Bucs (10-7): Time to see if Codes was a product of his division or if he is still big time even without Brady. Looking forward to watching their run in the playoffs. A tough first round match up with our residential student of the game, Zstar. It will not be easy.
Commanders (10-7): The season has been a roller coaster of streaks for Wimmy. They will roll out the #4 rushing attack to try and slow down end zone happy Brandon Thomas. Should be a solid game of ground and pound football on both sides as they head to Chicago.
Packers (10-7): So the Packers roll into the playoffs by an inch- literally. I’m not sold at the quarterback position as they head into Los Angeles to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Rams. Although as a betting man I put 10 on the Packers to win the game, I think a lot of Madden needs to go his way to pull off the upset.
Dolphins (9-8): Last but not least the Miami Dolphins fall as the last ranked playoff team in our rankings. If he proves to be the ultimate opportunist, Que will take advantage of the Lamar injury and advance to the the conference round. He’s been here before I am not counting him out- but the recent play leaves me a bit hesitant to believe in the Phins. Prove me wrong Que!
