MASKED: PML Hot Takes

What up PML, today I’m starting my new article series called MASKED where I interview 3 to 4 users in PML on some interesting topics….but their names will not be revealed. This makes things way more interesting and gives these guys some leeway to talk about how they really feel. I did this a little last cycle and the response in chat was amazing. Today’s opening topic you all should find really interesting because of how broad it is.

TOPIC: 3 PML HOT TAKES

PERSON 1

1 The 3-0 49ers will fall off again

After going 6-11 last season they have started off hot beating the Vikings, Colts, and Steelers. But overall not much has changed for this team that would show their success could be sustainable. Trey Lance has limited INTs but is still around or below 60% cmp rate. The defense has given up 400 yards a game so far thru 3 games while facing 2 offenses that are subpar. It just feels like all that’s missing from the last 3 szns is the INTs but I expect those to get closer to the mean.

2 This is the Bills year to make some noise in the playoffs

After coasting to the playoffs with an 11-6 record and being sent home in the wildcard the first 2 szns, The Bills had a horrible year in 2024 going 7-10. But it really allowed them to look at what went wrong and start reloading for the next szn earlier than most teams would. So far they are 2-1 and playing solid football and along with a 3rd place schedule this team should be able to walk into the playoffs again. We are in season 4 now and the Bills with Josh Allen are still looking for their first playoff win, and this year seems it could be the year with him playing last year playoff teams close and even beating the bengals week 1.

3 The Texans peaked last season

This team has been 10-7, 5-12, and 11-6 so far thru 2 seasons And I think that trend of up and down will continue. This Texan team has struggled badly with 1st or 2nd place schedules. So far they are 1-2 with the only win coming against the Steelers and getting blown out when they have faced a wildcard contender. They added Kyler and yet the offense has looked as bad as ever, the scheme is stale on offense and they seem clueless on defense. Overall I think this team will end on the outs of the wildcard spot come end of szn and they will only be able to look at themself as the reason why.

PERSON 2

1 PML is losing its simness by adding my competitive players.

Many maddens ago most players in PML had many different schemes and teams. we see a lot of followers and not many trendsetters

2 No ability season 5 is a must have.

This is coming from a user who has a ton of abilities. but ratings will finally matter and we may actually see something different in pml. Maybe that 86 speed route runner can lead the league in yards.

3 PML needs to turn down fumbles.

I can’t really expand more on that then I have fumbled in all 3 of my games.

PERSON 3

1 PML will reluctantly enjoy “No abilities”

More emphasis on playcalling

More emphasis on size, attributes, and traits

Less spamming for devs

More realism with animations

More user v user competition

Less dev thirst creating balance with roster building

2 Browns and Broncos will make the playoffs despite lack of abilities

These two coaches seem focused in season 4 and on a mission. They may not win the division but the 5,6,7 seeds appear to be wide open this season.

3 Rams will make a return to the SUPER BOWL.

Last I checked AD is still suiting up, and he will lead the rams Defense to causing other coaches to over think. Rams defensive scheme and familiarity on offense will make him king in turnover differential.
