Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Falcons last week?
The score was a lot closer than it was, which is my fault. We were down big 99% of the first half and made a last minute push to get the lead. In the second half we should have ran away with it. We rushed a 4th and inches play in field goal range and left points off the board, punted instead of taking a 59 yard field goal to try to pin him back, and then punted again because we missed a wide open Godwin on 3rd down. Without those little errors… it would've been a lot worse.
Who is your quarterback, and why?
I thought I knew the answer to this question before the season started… DTR was the easy choice. Now it's week 6 and Tua has shown flashes of greatness, but has limited mobility. DTR has shown his Vick like movement in the open filed, but is very inconsistent with minimal pressure in his face. The door is wide open for both to be named the official starter, they just have to prove it with the opportunities they get. As of right now… there is no true #1. The true #1 might not even be on the team right now. Only time will tell.
What stands out about your opponent's offense?
The versatility. It's really a pick your poison type of offense the Rams run. Run man and the route running of Kupp and MT will get them lots of separation, run zone and coach DK knows how to attack the soft spots of the zone, and then if you have a weak box Akers can easily run for 125+ with multiple TDs. You have to capitalize on the opportunities rookie QB DJ U gives you and keep their offense off the field as much as possible. Easier said then done.
