M24 Team Selection with Z (NFC South)

Codes’ NFC South

Bucs – Arod: From my time in PML Arod is average to above average team builder, but when it comes to playing with the team he’s built that’s when issues start to show. Maybe getting a team who already has a lot of solid pieces, but just missing that QB can be a different tempo to start the cycle for Arod. The division may be winnable for him too.

Falcons – Mali: I mean this with no disrespect, but it’s hard to place Mali where he will “fit” because no matter the circumstances he won’t be competing. He also makes questionable moves, but I personally have yet to see him play with a mediocre team like the Falcons. Maybe a team with lower expectations will bring the best out of Mali in a division with not many heavy hitters. Mali I truly mean no disrespect by this <3.

Panthers – JT: It’s JT…

Saints – Deebo: Deebo is a Saints fan and can be a solid user at times. He’s struggled with the team building aspect of PML in his first cycle, but maybe giving him his favorite team can build some long term engagement for Deebo. A less toxic division as well.

Z’s NFC South

Falcons – Drama: He gets a team that’s fresh off a fantastic offseason. They have great running back in Bijan, a great tight end in Kyle Pitts, and a great young secondary led by Jessie Bates and AJ Terrell. Drama won’t have any excuses.

Bucs – King Mike: In a twist contrary to what he wants, I give Mike the Bucs. While not the true definition of “the slums”, the Bucs are looking for post-Brady answers. Baker Mayfield is in line to be the starting quarterback, the defense is old or in line for new contracts (looking at you Devin White), and while the receiving core is still solid, they’re also up there in age. Mike will have his work cut out for him.

Saints – Deebo: I think this is a bounce back cycle for Deebo. He struggled with the Broncos, there’s no doubt about that. However, I believe he’s better than he’s shown (there have been some dominating Broncos performances this cycle sprinkled between some disappointment, he also was a few plays away from winning a playoff game season 1) and this is a great chance to do so. Especially since he’s from the area and it’s well known that he’s a Saints fan.

Panthers – Doc: In the first shocking development of my version of these predictions, JT does not have the panthers. I’ll get into my methodology behind that in a bit. Doc is doing his thing with the neglected Cleveland Browns this season. He’s won 8 games so far and has a very stingy defense when it comes to allowing points to be scored. It’ll be interesting to see if he can continue to build a squad that just got their franchise QB in Bryce Young.
