Revisiting Last Years QB Controversy

So as you all know last year right before the draft a big trade happened that sent Devin White to the Steelers for pick 4. The plan was to draft Maalik and Steelers select Cade, Maalik won the heisman and became impossible to pass up for the Steelers so they took Maalik (rightfully so at the time), that left the Bucs in a tough spot… their options were take Jacurri, Cade, or take the L and trade back… the Bucs being the stubborn GM that they are, they took Jacurri with a point to prove. That brings us to this article, let’s take a look at these 3 QBs heading into their sophomore season.

Maalik Murphy

Maalik came into his first season as superstar 71 overall rookie… he started off really bad and picked it up towards the end. He ended his freshman season with 3.1k passing yards, 450 rushing yards, 20 passing TDs, 5 rushing TDs, and 38 INTs. Definitely not the best start… but heading into his sophomore season he is now a normal 77 overall.

Jacurri Brown

Jacurri came into his first season as a 71 overall normal dev… he had the bright lights on him from the jump due to the questionable move the Bucs made, so he had to show everyone it was no mistake. He ended his freshman season with 3.7k passing yards, 975 rushing yards, 27 passing TDs, 14 rushing TDs, 20 INTS, and ended as the league MVP. Hard to deny his greatness, but with no playoff appearance is it really as impressive as it could be… heading into his sophomore season he is a superstar 82 overall.

Cade Klubnik

Cade came into his first season as a 76 overall star dev… absolutely horrific first year I’m not sure if it could get worse than this. He ended his freshman season with 900 passing yards, 5 passing TDs, and 9 INTs. He is heading into his sophomore season as a 79 overall star dev who probably will never see the field again.
