What can you attribute to having one of the top-scoring teams in the league to this point?
Defense for sure. We have caused tons of turnovers and put our offense in great positions to score. Give the offense credit too, they have done a phenomenal job of capitalizing on the opportunities given by the defense and have no problem driving down the field on their own.
Are you seeing the speed of the game starting to slow down for some of the rookies?
Yes, I have been impressed by Jah Joyner especially. He was injured for the first 5 weeks, and has came in and made an immediate impact. He has earned the starting spot over the vet (Shaq Barrett). He currently leads the team in sacks in just 2 weeks of play. It's pretty great to see a player come in and not need time to adjust to the speed of the NFL.
What are your thoughts about the Panthers just in general as a team?
I think they have key players who can be top 5 at their position in a few years, but it's going to take time. They show flashes here and there, but you can also see the young player type of mistakes that cost them games.
