Winners and Losers of Week 7

CAMMY:

Winner of the week: Bengals

The Bengals came out with a big win against the Buffalo Bills last week that helps them remain as the final undefeated team in PML in an impressive season so far. With them being able to pick up this win they seem like a clear lock for playoffs at this point and with a tough schedule coming up in the next few weeks it’ll be interesting to see if this team can pull out more victories and continue their undefeated season. Burrow is also having a historic year with this team and had an amazing night against the Bills throwing for 368 yards for two touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also had only 4 incompletions that game

Loser of the week: Panthers

Lots of us thought that the Panthers were ready to turn it around this season after a big win against the Bucs week two but after two brutal losses to divisional opponents he’s starting to look like the same Panthers from the past two seasons. He might not be the number 1 pick this year but with the showing he had this week there’s a big possibility that he’ll end up in the top 5 again. Which wouldn’t be horrible to help shape this roster up more for a run in the later of the cycle but you have to wonder if these losses effect the morale of Carolina or if they are used to it and it doesn’t bother them.

CODES

Winner of the week: Rams

In the NFC West all cycle it’s been a 2 man race between DK and Z. This year a lot of people thought would be Z’s year with the regression of Stafford and the progression of the young Hawks squad. In the first matchup of the season Z had one of the worst passing performances I have ever seen in PML (besides the 10 INT game) especially from a higher tier player like Z. With the bad performance DK was able to rest his starters pretty much in the second quarter and got big victory in Seattle, which might give him the mental edge in their next matchup.

Loser of the week: Panthers

The Panthers got blown out 72-14 by the divisional rival Bucs. Panthers was able to beat the Bucs in the first matchup with some controversy involved, this game at home was the game to prove it was no fluke. Instead they put up their worst performance of the year and was down 35-0 AT HALF. It could have ended there… but no. The Panthers for the rest of the game was running into the Bucs kicker on PATs, was run committing to try to bait the Bucs into scoring, was diving out of the play so the Bucs could have a free lane, and called a timeout down 69-6 to get the ball back with 2 mins to go. No sportsmanship shown by the Panthers in the blowout.
