Colts Move to 10–4, Dominate Bears 44–22, and Close In on Consecutive Playoff Berths

The Indianapolis Colts entered Week 14 needing a statement. What they delivered was a full-scale domination. With a 44–22 victory over the Chicago Bears, the Colts improved to 10–4 and crept even closer to clinching a playoff spot for the second straight season. It wasn’t just a win—it was the kind of complete performance that reminds the league this team is built for January.

A Wire-to-Wire Beatdown

Indianapolis controlled the game from start to finish, winning almost every statistical category and imposing their will on both sides of the ball. The Colts outgained Chicago 484–369, executed a turnover-free offensive attack, and forced Bears quarterback Caleb Williams into two costly interceptions—mistakes Indy immediately turned into momentum-swinging opportunities. The score should have been worse if not for the Bears padding the score with a meaningless pass touchdown with Caleb Williams late.

The message was clear: the Colts came to finish the job, and they’re rounding into form at exactly the right time.

Richardson Answers the Critics — Again

While the conversations around Indianapolis in recent weeks have centered on Anthony Richardson’s rushing numbers, the young quarterback has flipped the narrative with his arm. And Sunday may have been his sharpest performance yet.

Richardson was surgical, going 19–24 for 390 yards, 4 touchdowns, and zero interceptions. His command of the offense was flawless, reading the field, hitting receivers in stride, and making smart decisions in high-leverage moments. With the passing game humming, he barely needed his legs—adding just 18 yards on six carries as a complement rather than a necessity.

If the Colts get this version of Richardson down the stretch, the AFC suddenly looks a lot more interesting.

Jonathan Taylor, Still the Engine

Jonathan Taylor’s 2026 campaign has been defined not just by rushing volume, but by versatility. Sunday was more proof.

Taylor totaled 48 rushing yards and a touchdown, but his biggest highlight came through the air. On a screen pass, he caught the ball, planted his foot, stiff-armed a defender into another dimension, and took off untouched for a 70-yard touchdown. He finished with 77 receiving yards on three catches, giving him yet another multi-impact performance.

This is the version of Taylor that terrifies defensive coordinators—because even on modest rushing days, he can flip the field instantly.

Pass Catchers Feast

When Richardson throws for nearly 400 yards, someone is eating. On Sunday, everyone did.

  • Tyler Warren: 6 catches, 116 yards
  • Adonai Mitchell: 4 catches, 100 yards and two touchdowns
  • Eugene Wilson (Rookie): 3 catches, 53 yards, and a touchdown

Mitchell’s red-zone dominance continues to shine, Warren remains Richardson’s most reliable chain-mover, and Wilson keeps showing why he may be one of the league’s most dangerous young YAC threats.

The chemistry between Richardson and this group has taken a visible leap—bad news for opposing defenses as the postseason approaches.

Defense Makes Life Miserable for Chicago

Indy’s defense didn’t just complement the offense—they dictated the game. The front applied consistent pressure, and the secondary capitalized on every mistake.

  • JT Tuimoloau delivered a monster performance with two tackles for loss and two crucial deflections. Even when he couldn't get home for the sack, he disrupted passing lanes repeatedly.
  • Laiatu Latu continued his impressive rookie year with a TFL and sack before exiting early.
  • The 400-lb behemoth Desmond Watson(a fan favorite and walking skyscraper) recorded another sack, one that pushed the Bears out of field-goal range and stalled a key drive.
  • Segun Olubi filled the stat sheet with 3 tackles, 1 pass breakup, and an interception in the red zone, killing Chicago’s best chance at closing the gap.
  • Charvarius Ward snagged the other interception, coming immediately after a Colts score and helping balloon the lead to a margin the Bears never recovered from.

It was one of those days where every defensive level showed up—and showed out.

Three Games Left: Titans, Texans, Titans

With three divisional games to close the season, Indianapolis controls a lot—but not everything.

One more victory will clinch the AFC South title for the Colts. But there’s a bigger prize still faintly within reach: the AFC’s No. 1 seed. It’ll take help, and a bit of chaos around the conference, but at 10–4 the door isn’t shut.

And if the Colts keep playing like they did against Chicago, that door may swing open.

Final Word

This wasn’t just a win—it was the performance of a team gearing up for something bigger. Richardson is elevating as a passer, Taylor is hitting his stride, the defense is flying around, and the Colts are playing their best football when it matters most.

Ten wins down.
Three games to go.
Everything still on the table.
